The overall event of “repudio” was very civil. In other parts of the World, a known activist organization founded by a Cuban in exile that returned to Cuba recently would be highly suspicious because the first thing that enters your mind is this man is an American agent. Antonio Enrique González-Rodiles Fernández (Antonio Rodiles, born July 21, 1972) is a Cuban political activist who has achieved international visibility for his work as the coordinator of Estado de SATS, a forum which was created in July 2010 to encourage debate on social, cultural and political issues in Cuba. Rodiles is also the main coordinator of the Citizen Demand for Another Cuba (Demanda Ciudadana Por Otra Cuba), an initiative calling for Cuba to ratify the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, as well as the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, which Cuba has signed in 2008. Rodiles studied Physics in the University of Havana, Cuba. He also received a PhD candidacy in Physics from the Institute of Nuclear Sciences of the National Autonomous University of Mexico(UNAM) in 2003. In 2003 he emigrated to America and settled in Tallahassee, Florida. He earned a Master’s degree in Mathematics in 2007 from Florida State University (FSU), and worked as a professor at FSU and Tallahassee Community College before returning to Cuba.

In 2010 he founded the forum “Estado de Sats” in Havana, Cuba, with the aim of creating “a plural space for participation and debate” between different sections of the Cuban society. Videos of the debates have widely circulated via YouTube, and have also be seen inside Cuba, where people pass them to others using USB memory sticks and dvd’s (Internet access is severely restricted in Cuba).

On June 2012, the “Citizen Demand for Another Cuba” campaign, coordinated by Rodiles, handed in a petition with 500 signatures to the National Assembly of People’s Power (Asamblea Nacional del Poder Popular) – Cuba’s legislative body located in Havana – calling on the government to ratify the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.

The above are the reasons why an act of “repudio” took place against the people in the meeting and not because of what the meeting was about….Cuban Law is very clear as well as the Human Right covenants Cuba has signed.

Brave account of actions that take place right now in Cuba by people willing to fight till the end for a peaceful change that ends the oppression, while cynically, Raul Castro speaks of supposed human rights in Cuba… Excellent!!!

Llegue en 1966 y vivi en Santa Clara a 3 cuadras del paredón de fusilamiento y cada noche se oían los gritos de los hombres en camiones que iban a ser fusilados y se escuchaban los fusilamientos. Como no me voy a acordar de los campos de concentración era la UMAP en Ciego de Avila y yo fui a llevarles comida.
Ahora bien, los cubanos que estamos aquí la mitad son comunistas que vienen a vivir bien y van a Cuba a llevarles los dólares por eso el regimen también se ha mantenido, se debe protestar para que se acaben los viajecitos a cuba, los músicos que vienen a cargarse de $s y cerrar todas las agencias de viajes que me atrevo a decir son espías del regimen. También los viejos welferianos deben cancelarles el pago y no darles entrada a este país porque eso es defraudar la asistencia publica. Lo siento pero hace anos que estoy enojada con mis compatriotas no tienen vergueza !.

Todas las promesas incumplidas por la Robolucion es solo cuestion de tiempo…Denles otros 55 años y veran como va a sobrar el filete, la langosta, carros de lujo para todos los cubanos.

Es de impacto el video que muestran por muchas cosas, la primera de ellas es el grado de preparación, de educación y de principios que exhiben los entrevistados.Exponen su verdad, que es la verdad de còmo es la Cuba actual
Hablar de lo desastroso e inmoral que es utilizar niños sería hablar màs de lo mismo, rápidamente cualquier persona se percata que esos niños, ni tan siquiera conocían que había detrás de todo.
Es desastroso observar còmo se encuentra nuestro país.
