The independent Estado de SATS project supports the decision of Fernando Perez to renounce the presidency of the Muestra Joven ICAIC (Young Filmmakers Exhibition) and to not accept the pressure to practice censorship and exclusion in the selection of works. We believe that brave and ethical attitudes like this are how one dignifies Cuban artists and intellectuals.
